Wow, I've never played a buggier release. GOG really dropped the ball on this, especially considering their releases are usually rock solid. This game gave me the first blue screen I've ever had on Windows 7, and the first I've had in over two years.

This month is Activision month at GOG.com with a number of awesome old releases from Activision. You remember them, when they used to make great games before putting out annual iterations of rhythm games and $60 PC releases. Top of my list are Interstate 76 and Vampire The Masquerade Redemption, both games I loved back in the day.
Check after the break for the YouTube trailers GOG has put together for these games. Read more... Posted in News | Write a Comment |

Looks like there will be plenty to do for the cost conscious gamer this weekend. Currently, the Shadowgrounds games are 75% off due to Steam's midweek madness sale. Shattered Horizon will be free to play this weekend, from the 19th to the 21st of February and the price will be knocked down 50% during this time as well. If you're curious about this excellent and unique game then now is the time to check it out.
Also, GOG now has a number of Activision games in their catalog, including Gabriel Knight, Phantasmagoria and Vampire: The Masquerade: Redemption (one of my personal favorites). Interstate 76 is due to release at the end of February as well - looks like it'll be a good month for retro-ish PC gaming. Posted in News | Write a Comment |

Piracy is discussed often on the internet, and news sites, but it seems like the only way it's ever approached is with a stern look and a black mark on pirates. If the numbers for piracy are to be believed why aren't more people admitting to it? Certainly some of these game journalists must have snatched a piece of code at some point in their lives, before they had all their games just handed to them as review copies.
Well I'm coming out of the captain's quarters as it were; I was once a software pirate. Once, but not anymore.
So what changed? Why did I give up the life of illegally downloading software for free? Read on to find out. Read more... Posted in Articles | 1 Comment |
